DRUG AWARENESS COURSE
The Drug Awareness Course is a course designed for the wider community to attend. And provides information on illicit, prescription drugs and alcohol.
This course is open to any member of the local community to attend.

The course is presented by experts in the drug and alcohol field. It covers topics such as marijuana, hallucinogens, cocaine, heroin, tranquillisers, alcohol dependence, HIV/AIDS and other STD's. Participants will gain an insight into drug identification, prevention and treatment, as well as the legal and medical aspects of addiction, and counseling techniques. A certificate will be presented at the end of the course, if participants attend for at least nine of the eleven lectures.
Courses run for 11 weeks from 7.00pm to 8.30pm on Monday evenings.
